In the spirit of Kia Motor Company’s brand ethos, Give It Everything, the car maker has launched a new campaign, “Let’s Road Trip,” which harkens back to forgotten times as it celebrates this uniquely American tradition. Knitting together curated, vintage 8mm footage from the golden age of the road trip, mixed with present-day imagery from Kia’s award-winning model lineup, it blends the past with the present and, more importantly, provides us with a glimpse into the future. “Let’s Road Trip” underscores our shared human need for freedom, something that’s been curtailed for so very long by global events. The spot ends with an uplifting CTA reminding us that even though traveling isn’t ideal right now, the greatest getaway is in our own backyard. “So, c’mon America, let’s pick up where we left off.
